Water Wars

I am so angry about the battle over the water in the city and suburbs of Detroit. I live out in the burbs and I was extremely PISSED off about how the Detroit water and sewage department wants to raise the rates of the suburbs, but not to the people of Detroit because they cannot afford their bills now!!!!!!!! I about blew a nut when I heard this! Who the @#*& makes the rules on these types of things!!! I know that my city is fighting the city of Detroit, and will continue to do so. I called the city yesturday about a petition to sign so we can oppose this new proposal. I want to have a say in what happens to my water bills. Because the city I live in is already sueing the city of Detroit for previous over charges for water, there are no petitions at this time to sign. On the news last night they showed several fire hydrants that were broke and water gushing out everywhere. They interviewed a resident of the street and they told the news that the hydrant has been running like that for six months! There were several stories like that all over the news. Anyone thinking of moving to Michigan DON'T! If you buy a house, your taxes will be so high you won't sell your house when you goto move, gas (natural) is so expensive and the electic as well. Your water bill is in the hands of very STUPID and RACIST Detroit city leaders, suburbs have to pay an extra tax to support the science center, institute of arts, and other Detroit run activities because the burb people use these things more than the actual people that live in the city of Detroit. I take that as the burb people spend money in Detroit, and they get taxed, but the city of Detroit people do not go, and they don't have to pay to support it at all.

You know why I am so pissed. EVERYTHING is going up. Gas for your car, taxes, utilities in your home, groceries......EVERYTHING and the government (including city governments) wants it all. They take all your money for social security and then you hear rumors that in all actuallity, we won't get even 1/4 of what we put in. Why? Because we are paying for the "poor" people who have 8 kids and refuse to get a job, people who scam the system and get assistance when they really don't need it. We also are now paying for people who can't afford their water bills. When does this end? When Bush is out of office? Who knows, but I will say that I believe that the people of Detroit are smart. They play the race card all the time, and don't pay their bills, and they know the mayor they put into office is a cheat, and he will find the way to make the suburbs pay!
