Well, today is Ash Wednesday and that gives me a reason to eat very little. We are supposed to fast today. I will be taking my lunch today and heading over to the local church for ashes because I cannot go tonight. I am taking Grandma to the gym. She needs to get out of the house and since I spend so much time at the gym I don't get a chance to see her. So to fix that I will take her with me. She sounded very excited yesturday to go. We shall see. She always changes her mind at the last minute and decides not to go. I will keep ya posted!
The best thing about lent is our fish fry!!!!! I know that is not the best thing when you are dieting, but for $7.00 all you can eat, thats a great deal. They do have baked fish too, so you can go a little healthier! My husband and I still have not decided what we were giving up for lent. Before I was doing all this working out stuff I could have given up fast food or even Pepsi. I don't have that stuff anymore. I really don't know what to do. I don't drink or smoke, so I am really having a hard time thinking about what I will do????? Any Ideas, I could use some!
Thanks for reading and I look forward to some suggestions!

I have decided to TRY to stop swearing and I am also going to say a rosary everyday. Either on my way to work or on my way home and if it doesn't work out in the car, I plan on saying a rosary before bed. I remember when we were kids, we would say a rosary during lent as a family. I'm also going to give up coffee a few times a week. I really don't need it and just drink it because it is warm.
Hey the swearing thing is a good idea. I have issues with that. Thanks Nelly!
you also could go the speed limit for lent and smile at people when they cut you off or make the sign of the cross. Maybe just do the right thing for a change Ha Ha
Hey, most of the time I do the right thing. It is not my fault that I yell at people that cut me off, or tail people that go to slow, or even give the bird when they turn to slow. People just need to pick up the pace. We are a fast moving society and some choose to stay in slow mo!!!
I'm SO proud of you girls sticking with your "programs"! YEAH!!!!
I think the trying to reduce the swearing thing would be great! I still have to fight that one too! (especially when I am in MI) I don't know WHY! Love you tons! J
Thanks J! It is tough work, but we keep on doing it! Hope things are good in your neck of the woods!
