Saturday Mornings!

It looks like it may be another beautiful Saturday! We (my husband and I) had to get up bright and early to take his car in for new tires. He got an un-inflatable flat tire and we could not get the tire off. The lug nuts were so stripped that we had to have all of those replaced too!! So we spent $300 before 8:00 this morning. Not to bad considering we spent $3,000.00 a few hours before that on cabinets for our kitchen! No, we didn't win the lotto, but we have been working our asses off to start doing the dream instead of just dreaming the dream. Who knows when we get the cabinets in (we are doing them ourselves). We still have a ceramic floor to put in, a counter top to order, dishwasher and microwave to buy, and we still need to choose a paint color. You know choosing the paint is the hardest thing. We do have it narrowed down I think to either green (not grass green) and purple. We want a color that will show off the cabinets and the contrast in the floor. It will be a dark color, but not so dark that it makes the room look dark and small. We have seen lots of kitchens with some really beautiful dark colors and it looks so nice. I will keep you posted on the progress!
