Celebrate Lent & Pray For Jack

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the lenten season. I have decided to be more reserved when it comes to my cursing. I swear a lot. I know I do, and I have to REALLY cut back on that! So for now, this is what I am doing for lent.

The other thing I wanted to mention today is Jack. For those of you that read my blog, you have heard me talk about him. From what my Aunt tells me he is doing fine. She emailed me pictures of him, but the format she sent them in will not convert to blogger so I can't post them. I will try today to get these pictures to convert, until then Jack still needs all the prayers you can muster up! Baghdad is a scary place to be, so please pray for his safety!

Those pix she sent were great of him. It would be nice to get them on the blog so people can put a face with the name. We need to remember that they are over there fighting for US!

Yes it is Ash Wednesday....do you remember as a kid going to mass and getting the ash on your forehead...and then you would walk around school all day with the ash on your forehead...we use to have competitions to see who could keep it on the longest....to funny....you know I never kept any of my lent promises....kinda like New Year resolutions...never kept those either....but I will pray for Jack.....

Thanks for dropping by my blog!!!

Thanks smalltown for keeping Jack in your prayers & checking in! I will try tomorrow to have his picture posted on my blog. It is so strange to see this young kid (18) holding a gun (its a big gun too). Not something I would want to see everyday. To much violence!
