Crappy Monday!

Wow is it ever pretty outside! The ice that drapes the trees and powerlines looks so cool, but boy can that be dangerous! Thank God that while driving in today it was mostly rain. There was more rain than sleet so it didn't stick to the roads. I thought for sure when I looked outside that my drive would be scary, but Nelly called me and said all was fine on the roads. She was right. No problems getting into work today.

I hope everyone has a safe day. I know most people are off today because of Martin Luther King Day. I hate these days. Why is it that some places are closed and some are open. It should be we all have to work, or we all are off. Why is it that banks and government buildings are closed?? What is the fairness in that. Crap, it is all a bunch of crap.

I am going to the auto show tomorrow, so I probably will not post. It will be fun. I think we will be taking the people mover to Cobo Hall so we don't have to try to find a parking spot by the auto show. The people mover is pretty cool. Unfortunately, it shows some of the not so nice places in Detroit. You would think that they would have really cleaned up the areas around the people mover since a lot of people take that to get around (including tourists). I guess when you have Kilpatrick as a mayor you really cannot expect much. He doesn't ride the people mover, he has a Lincoln Navigator that tax payers pay for so he really could give two shits about the people mover and the areas that surround it.

Anyway, have a good day everyone! Be safe driving out there today!

Glad you made it in safely today toots! I'm with ya on the all closed or all open thing with it being MLK day. Why should only half the places be closed? WTF!

Have fun tomorrow!

Thanks Nelly! WTF is right! We should protest, haha! Do we have a white leader day where everyone is off? (President's day does not count, not our fault all the presidents happen to be white).

Hey Tracy....I agree with you....they roll all the preisdents into one day and then some of the businesses close, not all of them. I'm angry that I don't get mail just because it's MLK Day. Our taxes pay the government salary whether they work or not.....hmmmm, definetly something wrong with that!!!!
